So ya…….Wanna be a rock Star? Play the Big Stage? Jam with Friends? Well here’s your chance!

Rookie Rockers is a free jam night dedicated to just kids, ages 18 and under. Paradise Beach Club along with support from the Laconia Police Department has set the stage Wednesday Nights for the young musicians of the lakes region to show their stuff.

Singers... guitarists... .drummers... sax... base... keyboard... etc!

Whatever you play, come join in the fun from 6-9pm, Wednesday nights, starting June 1st Paradise Beach Club 322 Lakeside Ave., Weirs Beach, NH.

Because this is a venue for a wide range of ages, we ask that all kids under the age of 16 be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 21. Paradise Beach Club takes no responsibility in watching your children. We will have security and members of the Laconia Police Department on the premises. They are there for your children’s safety, but it will not be their responsibility to keep an eye on your children’s whereabouts. We ask that kids not arrive prior to the 7pm event start time, and that all kids being dropped off, be picked up promptly at 10pm. Again, we will not be responsible for kids left unsupervised after closing hours.

A menu offering a variety of appetizers and sandwiches will be available for the entire evening. Bar service will not be open for alcohol consumption at any time during the event.

Bret and Krista Loring have owned and managed the Paradise Beach Club for over 15 years. They take pride in running an establishment that offers some of the best musical talent in New England. Bret has been a drummer since the age of 5, being taught by his father, Allen Loring, a member of a local big band known as “Al Loring and the Stardusters”.

Rookie Rockers has always been a dream in the workings for Bret Loring, finally coming to fruition this year. Both Krista and Bret hope to provide an experience for musically inclined kids who otherwise would not have the opportunity to display their talents on stage. They offer a state of the art sound and light system that will make any musician or band’s performance have that professional edge. The excitement of performing on a real stage in front of people is a tremendous opportunity and experience for any rookie musician.

The goal of Rookie Rockers is to allow an opportunity for our young area musicians to meet one another and have the opportunity to perform together. It is hoped that through this experience, that working bands may form. At some point during the season, it is ultimately planned that a “Battle of the Bands” will take place. Sponsorship will be sought out, making it possible to provide monetary prizes to the winning bands, along with other prizes.
